The view from the top floor at Manor House B, all the way to the ground floor without having to use the stairs!
A poor quality roof repair which failed some years ago led to disasterous water damage to part of the house, including the collapse of sections of the second floor, and the current owner was simply unable to keep up with or afford the extensive repairs required, so the house just fell into further disrepair. However, there are now plans afoot to rebuild the house as it was, using reclaimed materials from the exisiting house and traditional methods of construction. It would be great to see this beautiful house built in 1870 rebuilt for the 21st century, and it is a fine target to aspire to – I only hope that it has not been left too late.
Awesome shot, Viveca! I love your processing on this one!
Not much left to the flooring! 🙂 Great perspective and shot!
Great vantage point! This gave me vertigo just looking at it. Still wondering how you got up there…..
Thanks Rob – had to use a ladder as the stairs had completely collapsed!
Great shot – looks like a long way down. Nice processing work as usual. My shot of this has toes and tripod legs in the way!
I absolutely love this image, and the series Viveca! Really wonderful work here, great composition and processing!!
