Documents From Another Era

Viveca Koh FRPS FIPF15 April 20116 March 2016

Documents on a table in abandoned Manor House BOne of the things that was so interesting about Manor House B were the amount of personal objects still remaining there, such as these antique documents lying on the table in the living room – money orders for one penny, newspapers, an AGM report for the Indian Railway Company dated 1873, and even a handwritten letter to someone fondly addressed as ‘Pooks’ and bestowed with lots of kisses.  I have processed these in black and white to maintain the vintage feel, whilst trying to draw out as much detail as possible with use of selective contrast, highlights and colour adjustments, using Nik Silver Efex Pro.

These photos are great, it amazes me that there are still papers laying around since the 1800’s.

These shots make me really wish I had gotten more up close and personal with the old documents I found at an abandoned race track this past weekend. Beautifully done!
