Well, it’s been a while since entered a blog post here (ok, a VERY long while), so what better reason to get back in the saddle than with a post about my exhibition which has just opened today?
My Mother is a landscape painter, so we are sharing the gallery for my photographs and her paintings, along with raku pottery by our friend Elaine Coles. We hung the exhibition yesterday and I have to say that it looks wonderful, and as my first proper exhibition i.e. where I am showing more than one or two images, it is tremendously exciting for me to see my work beautifully printed, framed and on the walls.
The private view is this evening, but meanwhile I am manning the gallery this afternoon, and as fabulous as it looks there is nobody here and we have only had one person in since the show opened at 11am – hope things will not continue in the vein, we are only open for five days and would like to sell some work.
Please do drop in if you are in the area, details on the invitation above. We’d love to see you!
I was wondering what happened to you!
Looks very nice. The pieces in the promo look like they all mesh together very nicely. Hope it’s a good one for you!
Thanks so much Aaron, it all went really well and as you said our work went together perfectly even though completely different media and styles. Already looking around for another exhibition venue!
We’d give our left arms to be there with you, Viveca! I hope beyond hopes that your exhibition is of the highest magnitude of success for you! We’ll be thinking of you all weekend, my friend!!
Many thanks Toads, wish so much that you could be too – who knows, maybe one day? 🙂
